- Himesh Reshammiya:
It was in 1998 that aspiring music composer Himesh Reshammiya’s B-town dreams got an opening, when Salman Khan asked him to compose the title track of the Sohail Khan-directed ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’. The track proved to be a huge success, helping Reshammiya begin his B-town innings in an enviable manner. Thereafter, this led to collaborations such as ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Hello Brother’ and ‘Bodyguard’.
Himesh Reshammiya wasn’t the only newcomer who made his debut with ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’. The brothers composed a catchy qawwali titled ‘Teri Jawaani’. Shortly after the film’s release, the musical duo became close friends with Salman Khan. Since then, they have worked with the star on numerous occasions. Some highlighted collaborations include ‘Wanted’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.
- Arjun Kapoor:
A few years ago Arjun Kapoor weighed well over 100 kilos, making it almost impossible for him to enter B-town as a leading man. Things, changed when he met Salman on the sets of ‘No Entry’. That is perhaps why, shortly after entering the industry, the ‘Gunday’ actor paid tribute to Bhai with a song titled ‘Salman Ka Fan’.
Govinda’s career took a back seat in the 2000’s, thanks to box office flops. Keen to help the help the actor, Salman Khan helped him bag a role in ‘Partner’. The gamble paid off as the comedy film set the ticket window on fire, restarting Govinda’s B-town innings.
